Hockey and Hat Tricks!

We’ve added six new colors to our ModeKnit Yarn lineup! We’re celebrating Minnesota’s favorite pastime (and Kathleen’s favorite sport) with our new Hockey Colors, also know as Chix with Stix!

Choose one of these lovelies paired with Pearl to make our new Hat Trick Mitten or Hat kit!  Hat Trick uses the same slip stitch technique used in the Slippy Cowl and would be a fun match!

The Hat Trick kit contains enough yarn to make the hat OR the mittens (order two kits if you’d like to make both). The kits are available in our ModeWerk DK or our ModeLuxe DK. Order now through January 31st during our Winter Sale to save 20.18% using code winter2018.

Hockey Gothic!

It’s Time for our Winter Sale!

Our annual winter sale is HAPPENING NOW!

Use code winter2018 at checkout to take 20.18% off your total purchase through January 31st!  Everything (except memberships to the Cassini Yarn Club) is on sale.

Have you been hankering for a new jacket? Our Garter Stripe Jacket Kit is now available online!  This cozy jacket is always a hit at fiber shows. Kits are available in a range of sizes starting at just $96.00 ($76.62 during the winter sale if you use code winter2018).

Shown in Lyanna Blue, Gilmarite, Pewter and Hydrangea FLOW.  Create your very own signature jacket by choosing four different colors for your kit; three non-FLOW colors and one FLOW colorway.  The finished garment runs large, so choose one size smaller if you need to.

Brahmin Moth Shawl in Sapphire, Chabazite and Bristol Pool.

What about a new shawl? Our Brahmin Moth Shawl is a fun project. A series of large miters and slip stitches and lots of garter stitch make this an adventurous (and intermediate) knit. For spectacular results chose three colorways; two colorways that you love, and one colorway that ties them together.

Slippy Cowl
Kathleen’s Slippy Cowl in ModeLuxe DK

Cowl anyone? Our Slippy Cowl will add a pop of color to any dark winter day! Choose two highly contrasting colors of Worsted or DK to achieve  the colorwork effect. The secret is you’re only knitting with one color at a time! If you can knit and purl, you can make this cowl!

Spinny Chullo in ModeSock

Do you crochet? Our Spinny Chullo kit is for you! This chullo is an excellent crochet adventure. Written for an intermediate crocheter, an adventurous beginner could work it as well.

Choose two contrasting colors and get started on your hat!

Our 2018 Spring Travel Schedule

Our 2018 Spring Travel schedule is set, and boy it’s a DOOZY!

We’ve added a few new-to-us shows, we’re headed back to a show we did a few years ago, and we’re definitely back at our usual spring shows!

Annie is teaching at MANY of these shows, we’ll update the blog and our calendar as soon as we know her schedule.

The unknown knitter!

We’re super excited to be heading back to Madison, WI for the Madison Knitter’s Guild Knit-In. It’s been a few years since we’ve done this show, and we’re happy to be back!  Did you know our yarns are carried by Wisconsin Craft Market?  If you’re in the Madison area stop by their amazing store and see all they have to offer!

We’re also thrilled to be at Yarn Con this year! We’ve wanted to participate for several years now, but always had another show the same weekend.  Our schedules aligned, and we’re headed to Chicago!

Did you see that pink llama?

We’re back at Interweave Yarn Fest in Loveland, CO (where Annie is teaching) and Yarnover in Minneapolis, MN (one of our hometown shows). We love both shows and are looking forward to seeing friends old and new!

Kathleen is headed to Mid-Plains Fiber Fair in York, NE with someone from our part-time staff while Annie heads to Andy’s college graduation.

Mid-Plains is a new show for us ( it’s their second year) and we’re looking forward to it.  We’re back together again the following week at Shepherd’s Harvest in Lake Elmo, MN.  Shepherd’s Harvest is one of our absolute favorite shows of the year!

We then load up and head out the The Kentucky Sheep and Fiber Fest and Great Lakes Fiber Show. Both shows are absolute gems; just large enough to be exciting and just small enough to get to know everyone.

Where will we see you in 2018?
