We are SO excited to introduce a new type of ModeKnit Yarn; FLOW!
We’ve developed a technique to gradually and gracefully create gradations of colors in long color changes.
As you knit, the yarn automatically changes from one color to another, blending beautifully with many lovely hues between the main colors in the yarn.
The FLOW version of Edinburgh, Stirling features the deep greys and blacks of highland stone plus the almost iridescent greens of the parks of Stirling.
A strong blue with overtones of blue/black make this an unforgettable colorway.
The beautiful lilac can grow from palest white to deep, rich purple. Our bright, subdued mix of purple and lavender create a lovely base for a project.
The FLOW version of Thistle, Iris gradients the colors we love from the beautiful Springtime flower; deep purple, magenta, yellow and stunning green.
Tanzanite is mined around Jaipur, which is why we’ve named the FLOW version of that color after it’s geological home. Rich blues flow into dark magenta.

Depending on the soil, a hydrangea plant can flower in colors ranging from light pink to deep purple or cool blue. This FLOW colorway attempts to capture them all!
The fuchsia plant creates the richest, brightest, deepest pink and purple around. Here is MKY’s FLOW interpretation of this lovely flower!
Even if you’re not a licorice fan, the bright colors that pour from the All Sorts bag is endlessly inspiring! Pink, yellow and black flow into each other in this lovely long-changing gradient.
Yellows and reds marry with shades of orange in a strong, blocky colorway with a rich life of it’s own.
Cream, black and grey, but with the beautiful deep yellow and gold that Jenny seems to favor so much in her ‘nicer’ dresses. This is a color which can stand on it’s own, now as a lovely FLOW colorway.
Our No Spoilers color from “Midwife Speaking”, Community Clinic, has been so popular that we’ve created a FLOW version of the pinks, aqua, yellow and brown that meld together so beautifully!

Strong like the stone, with the depth of color you’d expect from a felsic intrusive igneous rock. Pair this with a second FLOW color for a mind blowing experience!
The FLOW version of our popular “A Study In Pink”, this is a lovely poem of pink, from lightest petal to hot fucsia.
The FLOW version of Gilmarite, breaking down that glorious symphony of blues and yellows into a lovely long stride of yellow to green to deep blue.
The FLOW version of Gorse, this colorway contains all the glory of the Spring blooming fragrant gorse plant, the bright yellow, rich greens, and the whole spectrum in between.
Full Cask is the FLOW version of our popular and versatile A Wee Dram from the No Spoilers collection, “Caldonian Colors”
The FLOW version of our popular Mandarin Duck, it’s a festival of reds, oranges, mid range blues all joined with a through line of lovely golden yellow.
Inspired by the beautiful South American Cuckoo Wasp (it deposits it’s eggs in other wasp species nests, the larve hatch relatively quickly and eat the host’s eggs and larve – lovely…) this overdyed FLOW color is one of our hardest to dye, but we think it’s well worth it!
We were going to call this Yellow-to-Orange-to-Pink color “Tequila Sunrise”, but this name is much more fun, don’t you think?
