Hi Annie – I bought your mode knit yarn kit in Estes Park for a hat trick cap and it came with just 2 skeins. Plum jasper and pewter, dyelot in each says “kit”. Problem is I’m in the car on a road trip about to start this hat and the picture shows three different color yarns!?! Please advise.

Hi Andrea-
Hat Trick is written for two contrasting colors of yarn. In the pattern photograph you see three colors because those samples were knit with a solid (the cream color), and a variegated (the orange and blue OR the red/green). The originals were modeled after specific hockey team colors. We’ve since started making up kits that are less sports team specific.
