Special Techniques

I-Cord Bind Off:
Cast on 2 sts at start of row using Cable Cast On. [K2, K2togLS. Slip 3 sts from RH needle back onto LH needle. Pull yarn taut across back of work.] Repeat across work until3 sts rem, K3togL. Cable Cast On: Adjust work so that all sts are on the left hand needle. Slip needle between 1st & 2nd sts on LH needle and pull loop through to front. Slip this loop onto the LH needle twisting it clockwise. Repeat, each time using new st as new 1st stitch on LH needle.

PU&K—Pick up & Knit:
Insert needle into next stitch, stabbing all the way from the right side to the wrong side of the work. Wrap a loop around the needle, pull the loop through, creating a knit stitch.

C4L—Cable 4 Left:
Slip 2 sts, k2 sts, bring slipped sts to front of work and knit them. (Aka, Cable 4 Front)

K2togL – Knit 2 tog Left:
Knit 2 sts together so they slant to the left when viewed from RS of work (aka SSK, k2togTBL or s1, k1, psso)

K2togR – Knit 2 tog Right:
Knit 2 sts together so they slant to the right when viewed from RS of work (aka k2tog)

YO – Yarn over:
wrap yarn around hook or needle
