221B Colors

221b_label_imageOne of the most enjoyable aspects of the BBC Program, Sherlock, are the rich, saturated colors that the art director and lighting designer put together to further the plot and create mesmerizing atmospheric settings.

We’ve chosen six characters or plot lines as the inspiration for the initial colorways in the NO SPOILERS line, we hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

  1. Got my set on Thursday – today, it is half of a loop scarf/cowl. The ModeWerk fingering is a great base yarn and your colors are great. I’ve just finished the “I will burn you” skein. I don’t know if it was by design (yours) luck, but it knits up looking like flames – so very cool!

    1. YAY! I can’t wait to see the progress! I’d hoped the knitted yarn would look flame-like, but I can’t guarantee it will in every gauge or stitch count!

  2. My work in progress is posted on Ravelry (you can find it by looking for your yarn) I’ll post a photo of the “burn you” section so you can see how great it worked.

Thanks for a fun collection. I’m excited to see what you’ll do with Walking Dead- yeah Zombies!!

  3. My sister bought me this as a birthday present because I’m a total geek and love all things Sherlock. I adore them!! I’m currently knitting a scarf/wrap (Outline on Rav). It’s going to be so gorgeous!
